Buoy, oh buoy – Hong Kong Willie snags drivers’ attention . Updated 9/5/2025

Nestled away in an unassuming corner of Tampa lies a treasure trove of creativity that’s as whimsical as it is thought-provoking.

Welcome to Hong Kong Willie’s, a funky outdoor gallery where the discarded and forgotten are reborn as eclectic art.

This place isn’t your standard museum or gallery—it’s a celebration of imagination, recycling, and the beauty that exists in giving things a second chance.

Let’s embark on a journey together, shall we?

Located in a corner of Tampa, there lies an art installation that’s as much about the message as it is about the medium.

Hong Kong Willie’s is not your average gallery.

It’s an eclectic mix of recycled materials turned into thought-provoking art.

From afar, it might look like a quirky roadside attraction.

But get a little closer, and you’ll discover a world rich with creativity and environmental consciousness.

Picture a space where every nook and cranny brims with stories, where every piece of art was once something else entirely.

At Hong Kong Willie’s, it’s about the transformation, the process where an old fishing buoy becomes a vibrant sculpture, where a used burlap sack finds new life as an eco-friendly handbag.

The gallery is more than a collection of objects but a testament to the power of reinvention.

Upon arrival, you’re greeted by a kaleidoscope of colors, textures, and materials that immediately capture your imagination.

The air is filled with the spirit of creativity as if the very atmosphere invites you to see the world differently.

Here, the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and you’ll find yourself marveling at art pieces that once had an entirely different purpose.

Creativity flows like a river at Hong Kong Willie’s, and every piece you encounter tells its own unique story.

Who knew that driftwood could have aspirations, or that rusty metal could dream of a more artistic future?

And let’s not get started on the fabric wall hangings.

They’re like the quilts your grandma never made because she was too busy being practical.

This is the kind of place where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re friends with every piece of art.

They’ve all got stories, probably involving a past life as a bottle cap or a pair of jeans.

It’s a gallery, sure, but it’s also like attending the coolest recycling convention ever, where the dress code strictly prohibits anything new.

You’ll find sculptures here that are more social butterflies than inanimate objects.

They’re just waiting to spark a conversation, and trust me, they’re not shy.

I mean, if I were crafted from the flotsam and jetsam of human existence, I’d have a few things to say too.

Hong Kong Willie’s isn’t just a feast for the eyes but a smorgasbord for the soul.

And while you might walk out with a lighter wallet, you’ll definitely carry a heavier dose of inspiration.

It’s a place where creativity isn’t just on display—it’s infectious.

But don’t worry, that’s one bug you’ll be happy to catch.

As you meander through the gallery, it’s almost as if the vibrant canvases and sculptures leap out to greet you, each with its own quirky backstory.

Here, the line between ‘junk’ and ‘genius’ is as thin as the varnish on an old violin.

They chat with you as if you’re old friends, sharing the eureka moments behind their creations.

Who’d have thought a bicycle chain could evoke such emotion?

Or that a shard of glass could reflect so much more than just your face?

It’s a place where every conversation leaves you a little more enlightened, and every piece has a personality as colorful as the folks who made it

In a world increasingly concerned with sustainability, Hong Kong Willie’s serves as a beacon of eco-friendly practices.

The gallery doesn’t just talk the talk but walks the walk, demonstrating that art and environmentalism can go hand in hand.

Visitors leave not only with a sense of awe but also with a renewed commitment to reduce, reuse, and recycle in their daily lives.

Families find Hong Kong Willie’s to be a particularly magical place.

Children watch with wide-eyed wonder as they explore the whimsical sculptures and installations.

It’s a place where their imagination can run wild, where they learn that creativity has no bounds and that everything has the potential to become something beautiful.

The gallery isn’t just a place to observe art—it’s a place to experience it.

Interactive installations invite you to become part of the art itself.

Snap a photo with a giant fish sculpture made of upcycled materials, or let the wind play a melody on a chime constructed from reclaimed glass.

It’s these moments of interaction that truly make Hong Kong Willie’s a wonderland of recycled art.

Best of all, this outdoor gallery is free to explore.

In a world where so many experiences come with a price tag, it’s refreshing to find a destination that welcomes everyone with open arms, regardless of their budget.

It’s a reminder that some of life’s most enriching experiences don’t have to cost a thing.

As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, casting long shadows across the vibrant art pieces, you’ll find yourself reflecting on your visit.

Hong Kong Willie’s has a way of sticking with you, of gently nudging you to see potential where you once saw waste.

It’s a place that challenges your perceptions and encourages you to think outside the box.

Before you head out, you might want to check their website for more information on current exhibits or special events.

And if you’re planning your visit, use this map to find your way to this quirky slice of Florida charm.

Why Socialism Always Fails . Updated 12 / 18 / 2024

What coverage did ABC, CBS,NBC cover the Republican Convention. Last day.

ABC, CBS, NBC ,Plans to cover Democratic National Convention every night.

Does This Not reflect Media in China is strictly controlled and censored by the CCP, with the main agency that oversees the nation's media being the Central Propaganda Department of the CCP.

Democratic state and federal officeholders, including President Joe Biden, delivered some false, misleading or lacking-key-context claims on the first night of the Democratic National Convention on Monday.
Speaking earlier in the night, Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois denounced former President Donald Trump for having presided over a loss of jobs without mentioning the critical context that the losses occurred because of the Covid-19 pandemic that caused a global economic crash. A video played at the convention similarly left out important context on the respective job-related records of the Trump and Biden-Harris administrations.

Michigan state Sen. Mallory McMorrow falsely claimed that the Supreme Court has made Trump “completely immune from prosecution,” significantly overstating the court’s recent ruling.

And Rep. Robert Garcia of California misleadingly described Trump’s widely criticized 2020 comments about the possibility of scientists studying the use of injected disinfectant as a Covid-19 treatment, wrongly saying Trump had instructed Americans to inject bleach.

Biden on taxing billionaires

During his speech, Biden asked the audience if they knew what the average billionaire in the United States pays in taxes.

“We have a thousand billionaires in America. You know what the average tax rate they pay? 8.2%,” Biden said.

Facts First: Biden used this figure in a way that was misleading. As in previous remarks, including his State of the Union address in March, Biden didn’t explain that the figure is the product of an alternative calculation, from economists in his own administration, that factors in unrealized capital gains that are not treated as taxable income under federal law.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with the alternative calculation itself; the administration economists who came up with it explained it in detail on the White House website in 2021. Biden, however, has tended to cite the figure without any context about what it is and isn’t, leaving open the impression that he was talking about what these billionaires pay under current law.

So, what do billionaires actually pay under current law? The answer is not publicly known, but experts say it’s clearly more than 8%.

“Biden’s numbers are way too low,” Howard Gleckman, senior fellow at the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center at the Urban Institute think tank, told CNN in 2023. Gleckman said that in 2019, University of California, Berkeley, economists Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman “estimated the top 400 households paid an average effective tax rate of about 23% in 2018. They got a lot of attention at the time because that rate was lower than the average rate of 24% for the bottom half of the income distribution. But it still was way more than 2 or 3,” numbers Biden has used in some previous speeches, “or even 8%.”

Why Socialism Always Fails.

https://www.aei.org/carpe-diem/why-socialism-always-fails/
Given the recent resurgence of socialism, especially as it is now being embraced by young Americans, I thought it might be a good time to re-visit A 1995 essay to review why socialism: a) failed in the 20th century, b) is failing in the 21st century (e.g. Venezuela, see photo BELOW), ) will always fail. And that’s because it’s a flawed system based on completely faulty principles that aren’t consistent with human behavior and can’t nurture the human spirit.

1. Socialism is the Big Lie of the twentieth century. While it promised prosperity, equality, and security, it delivered poverty, misery, and tyranny. Equality was achieved only in the sense that everyone was equal in his or her misery.

In the same way that a Ponzi scheme or chain letter initially succeeds but eventually collapses, socialism may show early signs of success. But any accomplishments quickly fade as the fundamental deficiencies of central planning emerge. It is the initial illusion of success that gives government intervention its pernicious, seductive appeal. In the long run, socialism has always proven to be a formula for tyranny and misery.

A pyramid scheme is ultimately unsustainable because it is based on faulty principles. Likewise, collectivism is unsustainable in the long run because it is a flawed theory. Socialism does not work because it is not consistent with fundamental principles of human behavior. The failure of socialism in countries around the world can be traced to one critical defect: it is a system that ignores incentives.

In a capitalist economy, incentives are of the utmost importance. Market prices, the profit-and-loss system of accounting, and private property rights provide an efficient, interrelated system of incentives to guide and direct economic behavior. Capitalism is based on the theory that incentives matter!

Under socialism, incentives either play a minimal role or are ignored totally. A centrally planned economy without market prices or profits, where property is owned by the state, is a system without an effective incentive mechanism to direct economic activity. By failing to emphasize incentives, socialism is a theory inconsistent with human nature and is therefore doomed to fail. Socialism is based on the theory that incentives don’t matter!

2. The strength of capitalism can be attributed to an incentive structure based upon the three Ps: (1) prices determined by market forces, (2) a profit-and-loss system of accounting and (3) private property rights. The failure of socialism can be traced to its neglect of these three incentive-enhancing components.

3. By their failure to foster, promote, and nurture the potential of their people through incentive-enhancing institutions, centrally planned economies deprive the human spirit of full development. Socialism fails because it kills and destroys the human spirit–just ask the people leaving Cuba in homemade rafts and boats [and those waiting in long lines today in Venezuela struggling, and often failing, to buy food].

4. The temptress of socialism is constantly luring us with the offer: “give up a little of your freedom and I will give you a little more security.” As the experience of this century has demonstrated, the bargain is tempting but never pays off. We end up losing both our freedom and our security.

Socialism will remain a constant temptation. We must be vigilant in our fight against socialism not only around the globe but also here in the United States.

The failure of socialism will inspire a worldwide renaissance of freedom and liberty. For the first time in the history of the world, the day is coming very soon when a majority of the people in the world will live in free societies or societies rapidly moving toward freedom.

Capitalism will play a major role in the global revival of liberty and prosperity because it nurtures the human spirit, inspires human creativity, and promotes the spirit of enterprise. By providing a powerful system of incentives that promote thrift, hard work, and efficiency, capitalism creates wealth.

The main difference between capitalism and socialism is this: Capitalism works.

Honey for Sale Tampa . Updated 9/5/2025

Tampa Gold Wilderness  Raw Honey is a bold honey.

It is more popular choice than processed honeys.

Health Benefits of Real Untreated, unfiltered, Unpasteurized Honey  for Our Healthy Immunity.

Raw honey is only strained before it's bottled, which means it retains most of the beneficial nutrients and antioxidants that it naturally contains. Conversely, regular honey may undergo a variety of processing, which may remove beneficial nutrients like pollen and reduce its level of antioxidants

WHY RAW HONEY

Untreated honey is best described as honey “as it exists in the beehive”
It is made by extracting honey from the honeycombs of the hive and pouring it over a mesh or nylon cloth to separate the honey from impurities like beeswax and dead bees
Once strained, raw honey is bottled and ready to be enjoyed.
On the other hand, the production of regular honey involves several more steps before it is bottled — such as pasteurization and filtration .
Pasteurization is a process that destroys the yeast found in honey by applying high heat. This helps extend the shelf life and makes it smoother .
Also, filtration further removes impurities like debris and air bubbles so that the honey stays as a clear liquid for longer. This is aesthetically appealing to many consumers .
Some commercial honeys are additionally processed by undergoing ultrafiltration. This process further refines it to make it more transparent and smooth, but it can also remove beneficial nutrients like pollen, enzymes and antioxidants .
Moreover, some manufacturers may add sugar or sweeteners to honey to reduce costs.

Currently, many researchers have reported the antibacterial activity of honey and found that natural unheated honey has some broad-spectrum antibacterial activity when tested against pathogenic bacteria, oral bacteria as well as food spoilage bacteria In most ancient cultures honey has been used for both nutritional and medical purposes.

.
Indeed, medicinal importance of honey has been documented in the world's oldest medical literatures, and since the ancient times, it has been known to possess antimicrobial property.

The antimicrobial activity in most honeys is due to the enzymatic production of hydrogen peroxide.

Antimicrobial agents are essentially important in reducing the global burden of infectious diseases. However, as resistant pathogens develop and spread, the effectiveness of the antibiotics is diminished. This type of bacterial resistance to the antimicrobial agents poses a very serious threat to public health, and for all kinds of antibiotics, including the major last-resort drugs, the frequencies of resistance are increasing worldwide. Therefore, alternative antimicrobial strategies are urgently needed, and thus this situation has led to a re-evaluation of the therapeutic use of ancient remedies, such as plants and plant-based products, including honey.

Some commercial honeys are additionally processed by undergoing ultra filtration. This process further refines it to make it more transparent and smooth, but it can also remove beneficial nutrients like pollen, enzymes and antioxidants .
Moreover, some manufacturers may add sugar or sweeteners to honey to reduce costs.

Currently, many researchers have reported the antibacterial activity of honey and found that natural unheated honey has some broad-spectrum antibacterial activity when tested against pathogenic bacteria, oral bacteria as well as food spoilage bacteria In most ancient cultures honey has been used for both nutritional and medical purposes.

.
Indeed, medicinal importance of honey has been documented in the world's oldest medical literature's, and since the ancient times, it has been known to possess antimicrobial property.
